Training Institute for Technical Instruction (TITI) is located in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, Nepal. It was established as a Nepali National Institute in November 1991 with some operational flexibility (TITI By-law, 2001) and mandated by the Act of CTEVT (CTEVT Act, 1988, Section 16).  TITI is devoted to meeting the nationwide training needs of technical human resources, managers and curriculum developers in the Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) sector.

The Training starts on July 8, 2024. There will be one-hour orientation program on July 5, 2024 at 13:00. 

Purpose:

To equip existing and potential Master Trainers with high-level training skills, knowledge, tools and techniques for delivering quality training in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector. The training comprehensively focuses on the competencies of ToT-Skills, ToT-Knowledge, ToT-Visualization and ToT-Assessment required to analyze, design, develop, deliver and evaluate the training programs. 

Structure:

This is an eight-week (3+2+3) training course. The first 3 weeks is planned as self-learning by the participants. Second 2 weeks will be on a face-to face mode at TITI. Third 3 weeks is the application of the learning in the real world of work. During the application phase, the participants will conduct/coordinate 3 weeks training program within 9 months as organized by TITI. The respective participant as a trainer/coordinator must deliver 50% of the sessions in the assigned training. The course will be conducted in English. 

Goals:

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

·       Design training courses based on assessed training needs;

·       Design training activities for teaching facts, concepts, procedures, processes and principles

·       Design and develop effective visual images using both art and technology approaches.

·       Visualize quantitative information.

·       Design and develop assessment tools to assess learners’ performance.

·       Design and develop training materials for session delivery

·       Deliver quality training sessions ensuring learner’s involvement.

·       Speak a common language used in TVET ensuring GESI.
