This course provides the principles and techniques for performing the skills of medical care at the Dental Assistant level, and includes a basic first aid course. The skills include basic history taking and physical examination, procedures for administering medications, wound care, performing invasive procedures, and simple suturing. The first aid course includes procedures for bandaging, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and choking, in addition to basic first aid measures.
